Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Seth Grahame-Smith Okay, honestly: no one expected this to be great literature, right? I certainly didn't. What I did expect was for it to be amusing and fun, and Grahame-Smith delivered on that score. I agree with a few previous reviewers who feel he limited himself by sticking so tightly to the original text, but still...zombies! I'm an avid zombie geek, a so-so Austen fan, and the looks from the women in the office when I read this book on my lunch breaks were a really nice perk. (In less than a year, I've made an entire medical billing office think I'm completely nuts. Thank you, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies!) It had funny moments, especially between Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, and it had blood and gore and zombie battles. That's enough for me.
