Wetlands - Charlotte Roche The author seemed so focused on courting the controversy bound to spring up around a book that is disgusting merely for the sake of being disgusting, and in the end she forgot one of the most important rules of writing: don't make it boring. The character and her habits are so extreme that even Roche's feminist manifesto against hygiene gets lost beneath the streams of bodily fluids, and yet...the book is still fatally boring. Overrated, over-hyped, and in the end, absolutely worthless. Don't waste your time.
